well vista never riped anything off the mac. It still uses this classic start menu and if you havent noticed the search rerpresents the "run" . If you have XP click the start menu you will see 'Run' button. Well in Vista, it uses the search box to search AND do the run stuff. Like if you type "msconfig" in the search box you will see it. You usually dont see that in the programs.
The main problem is that Microsoft started almost from scratch to build Vista. They didnt take XP and make it crappy. Instead they just rebuild it to change the security level and some network protocols and to add new features. Thats why many things from XP dont work on Vista. BUT its better than mac still, because it's more user-friendly, easy to use and its not a big difference in the interface. The crashes are because the drivers are new, and writing a driver is a very hard and long-term thing.
AND notice that all new games come out for Vista, and whats better? the new games or the old games? by better I mean that they have better graphics, better gameplay and they're just more realistic. And Vista doesnt get angry at all 2-D games. For example, take the Super Granny game, a little bit childish but still, 2-D. SO Vista isnt that bad. Dont forget that nothing is perfect. One thing I disagree in, is that MIcrosoft is beginning to work on a newer windows version. New windows??? While Vista still chashes?? Dont do that! Bahh... they will just lose customers and reputaion and these crappy macs will prosper and use the new windows versions as butt in their ads

XP is better if you run a computer that is comparable with Windows XP/Vista. Because If you run Windows Vista, your computer will get crappy and slow in 1-2 weeks. But If you run XP on computer that is comparable with Windows Vista, then you got your self a race car!
